Yoga has been a part of my life for 15 years. I have experienced many styles of yoga over this time, including Bikram, Iyengar, Vinyassa and shadow yoga. I have studied and practiced mainly classical Hatha Yoga predominantly Sivanada.
I believe that this style of yoga offers the most holistic approach to health and yoga allowing one to fully experience and benefit from each asana (posture) whilst also providing a firm focus on the breath and the mind.
I am a fully qualified (and insured) yoga teacher. Registered with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY). I have a Yoga Alliance 200hr teaching qualification and a British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma. I regularly attend Training events and workshops. This allows me to not only to maintain my registration but keep my practice and my teaching up to date.
My regular self practice and private study also allows me keep enjoying the benefits of yoga I have come to know over the years. It is these benefits, enjoyment and passion that I share with others through my teaching.
Laura has a soft relaxing voice with a sense of humour! She works on one part of the body to everyone’s ability and finishes with relaxation. The classes are really enjoyable but are never long enough!
Laura’s classes are perfect for complete beginners and also those with more experience. The atmosphere is very relaxed, warm, friendly and traditional. The physical and emotional afterglow, even after my first class, means Thursday night yoga is first thing in the diary each week. Loving it.
