Rachel gained her Licentiate in Traditional Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 2004. Continual professional development furthers her skills and deepens her knowledge of Chinese Medicine.
Whilst experienced in treating the full scope of illnesses, Rachel has a special interest and experience in women’s health and gynaecological complaints. As a member of the Acupuncture for Fertility Network, she is experienced in treating fertility and supporting assisted conception techniques, as well as supporting women through pregnancy and post-natally.
Each treatment is tailored to the patient’s individual needs, which are identified initially through a detailed case history, explored at the first session and from which a thorough diagnosis is made. This initial consultation covers all symptoms, medical and family history, aspects of general health and lifestyle and any emotional issues.
At the conclusion of the first consultation Rachel will draw up a plan, which is likely to involve a course of weekly or fortnightly treatments for a period of time depending on the depth of the pathology at hand. She also offers lifestyle and dietary advice to help you to find ways to create health in your daily life.
